Cycling in the Haliburton Highlands is like riding Ontario's answer to the Tour de France. It's easy to imagine you are pushing the limit as you strive to reach the top of the next hill. Then go careening down and around the gnarly backside past a pristine lake as you sweep into the town of Haliburton.

Of course, the temptation is always there to simply stop and take a moment to enjoy the magnificent scenery. And why shouldn't you? Afterall, you are on vacation...a wonderful vacation less than three hours from the GTA.
